Induction Continuity Sequence.

Our task was to prepare and shoot 20 different types of shots to compose a short sequence, we had to demonstrate everything that we had learnt in our induction booklet such as; different shot types, lighting, sound effects, music and continuity such as the 180 degree rule. We were not allowed a dialogue in this sequence but only several shots including a package being given to someone. We had to show the use of Mise-en-scene as well using lighting, props, costume, makeup and facial expressions.

Evaluate
Mise-en-scene-
Lighting- we went for a black and white colour throughout the whole of the sequence as we thought that it set a dramatic atmosphere throughout it, during the first scene where the girl is being interviewed the lighting has been directed towards her face and has casted half of a shadow across the other girls face to connote that she is dark and secretive. the rest of the room during that scene is very dark with the only light coming from the light source. During the scene where she is walking down the corridor the background is a dark grey colour whereas her legs are lighten up quite a bit.
